The Mitchell years (1990-1995) English
teacher Glenn Mitchell was the next adviser,
taking over from Pat Ishida in
1990. Mitchell brought with him to the job a
keen sense of organization and detail, and
was a catalyst in bringing the paper out of
the "dark ages" of cutting and pasting and into
the 90s age of high-tech computer desktop
publishing. Most of the computer hardware
and software currently being used
to produce the Pepper Bough is here as a
direct result of Mitchell's tireless efforts to
update and upgrade the technology used to
put out a paper. During his five years as adviser,
he served as a bridge between the way the paper
used to be produced and the way it is produced
now. Mitchell continues to teach English here
at Colton High.
